The arrival of this doll at the hospital shows a much loved childhood toy. Howdy had composition chips, composition rubs and cracks at various locations on his head and face. The left composition hand was completely missing; the right hand had composition lifts and chips. His body was very dirty. The original shirt was dirty but still usable. The original pants were unusable.
The head and hair were repaired where needed and the paint touched-up only for those areas of repair leaving remaining paint original. New facial features were repainted or touched-up as needed. A new left hand was sculpted to match the right hand. The body was cleaned and restuffed. The doll was reassembled. Howdy’s shirt was laundered. A new pair of pants was made using the old as a pattern. The boots were added.
